"Sanrio" is the name of Japanese company. It was founded by Shintaro Tsuji. Before use this name it was Yamashi Slik Company. But in 1973 the company was officially established and changed the name to "Sanrio". The word "Sanrio" comes from the Japanese word "san" that means three and "Rio" from Spanish that means river.

Sanrio designs and licenses cutebrand characters and they have many products such as stationery, school supplies, gifts and accessories.Moreover, Sanrio has created a lot of characters to attract people, especially children to buy their products.
